One of the most popular film actresses of her time, Colleen Moore assembled a legion of her industry colleagues to help craft this miniature home of fantastic proportions. She shared it during the Great Depression, touring the country to raise funds for children’s charities. Then this one-of-a-kind castle was welcomed into its new home at MSI, where it has enchanted children of all ages since 1949. — Museum of Science and Industry of Chicago.

Details and Moodboard

Type of job: Hand lettering
Client / art direction: Jungu Guo
This lettering was designed for client’s personal use — but I hope it will become an actual exhibition in the near future! The briefing was a hand lettering for a VR exhibition of the Colleen’s Moore Fairy Castle.

The references are the magical visual of the castle itself; colors related to fantasy and imagination — gold and purple; and the client also referenced my Expecto Patronum lettering.

And wouldn’t it be nice to have a picture book of this beautiful castle?
