Now the we were properly introduced, let me tell you a bit more about me in case you’re interested. Grab your coffee (and maybe a cupcake), and let’s go.
A Little More About Me
I began my career in graphic design during university, but deep down, I always wanted to draw for a living. In 2010, during my first year working at a design agency, I got my very first illustration job — and that little spark changed everything.
Since that, I started chasing ways to improve my technique and find the right clients, slowly shifting from designer to full-time illustrator. But the truth is… I never fully left graphic design. I may not be creating logos anymore, but the foundations of design still shape every piece I make. The training I had in composition, color, and visual storytelling guides my work — whether it’s for a book cover or a mythic creature.
Still, something was missing. As much as I love bringing my clients’ visions to life, I’ve always needed space to bring my own imagination to life too. I have far more stories and ideas in my head than time allows me to execute — It’s been years I don’t experience a true art block. Just… a chronic lack of time and way too many fantastical ideas!
That need to bring to life what’s inside my imagination led me to develop a more personal body of work. And that takes me to my artist statement.
Artist Statement
My artistic work is a representation of the world I would like to live in. Through my art, I journey across universes, encounter fantastic creatures, and let imagination take the lead! I work with the techniques I’ve gathered along my many years as an illustrator to bring these visions to life, creating figurative art and fantastic realism.
I pour into my work the will to inspire. I want my art to encourage people to live and feel inspired; to be a ray of sunshine on a rainy day — or, if you prefer, a gigantic cloud on a sunny one. I want my creations to be a window, however small, into beauty and order in a chaotic world.
